Custom web apps, from first release to running in production
A web app replaces a spreadsheet, a tangle of tools or a manual process with software built around how your business works. We design it, build it, and keep it running: accounts, permissions, payments, integrations, hosting, backups and monitoring.
What we build
- Customer portals: accounts, orders, documents, messages and self-service.
- SaaS products: multi-tenant platforms with subscriptions, team seats and admin tools.
- Internal tools and dashboards: operations views, reporting and workflow tools for your staff.
- Marketplaces and platforms: two-sided products where each side has its own experience.
- Moving off no-code: rebuilding a product from a no-code builder onto code and hosting you control, without downtime.
Work you can inspect
- Transparent Transport: one platform where car owners, carriers and brokers each work from their own view. Each company's data is isolated by the database itself, not only by application code.
- IdeaVault: private planning workspaces for founders, with canvases, a business-plan template, invitation controls and Stripe billing.
- Callata: a business phone platform with calling, messaging, voicemail and AI-assisted call workflows.
- LearnLife: a learning platform moved off a no-code builder onto a self-hosted stack with live billing, tested on desktop and mobile before and after the switch.
- 1099WORK: a contractor marketplace with industry and location search and tens of thousands of data-backed guide pages.

How we build
- Start with the core workflow. The first release does the most important job well. Everything else is planned for later.
- Design the data and permissions first. Who can see and change what is decided before screens are built.
- Ship in reviewable steps. Regular demonstrations on a staging site, with tests running on every change.
- Operate it. Monitoring, tested backups, security updates and a plan for when something fails.
Questions
Web app or mobile app?
A web app works on every device through the browser and is usually the faster first step. Native mobile apps make sense for frequent on-the-go use or device features. See app design and development.
Can you take over an existing app?
Yes. We start with a review of the code, hosting and data, then agree what to fix first.
Who owns the code?
Ownership and licensing are set out in the project agreement before work begins.
How much does a custom web app cost?
It depends on the workflows, users, integrations and existing systems. We quote after reviewing your brief, and a smaller first release can reduce the starting cost.
